Flights of Fancy
ANCA Gallery, Canberra
1999

Flights of Fancy was a body of work exploring notions of light, layering and printing onto sheer fabrics.

An exciting discovery was the layering sheer red and yellow, and red and blue fabrics. Depending on the different lights the panels in the two screens were solid red, blue or yellow, but when walking around the screen the colours merged creating a visual illusion of changing colours with a moray effect.

The body of work was produced as part of a two week residence at Megalo Print Studio and Gallery in 1999 and in conjunction with a public art project I was involved with at the time.
