Hill End
2013
The artist residency at Hill End offered an immersive and inspiring environment, characterized by its unique historical charm and natural beauty. I found inspiration in the local landscape, particularly the fascinating fences, gorgeous gates, and rich textures that surrounded the area. Living in a slab hut, I experienced a rustic, simple lifestyle, which further deepened my connection to the environment and allowed for a reflective and productive creative process. The studio space was integral to the residency, providing a sanctuary where I could experiment and engage deeply with their work. Overall, the residency at Hill End was a profound experience that significantly influenced my creative journey, offering both solitude and a strong sense of place.
